I’m Cindy Silva, a San Francisco–based tutor who helps sixth-grade students build confidence and clarity in math. I believe learning works best when students feel supported, understood, and encouraged to think for themselves. Whether your child needs help catching up, staying on track, or feeling more at ease with numbers, I’m here to guide them every step of the way.
SERVICES
One-on-One Math Tutoring
Individualized sessions focus on building understanding step by step. We’ll strengthen foundational skills, tackle tricky concepts, and build lasting math confidence.
Homework & Test Support
My sessions help students complete assignments with understanding. We work through word problems, multi-step questions, and test prep strategies, helping students show their work clearly and feel ready for test day.
Skill-Building & Review
We revisit key topics — fractions, decimals, ratios, and more — to close gaps and strengthen fluency. This is ideal for students who need structured review or want to boost confidence before moving into higher-level math.
HOW IT WORKS...
Tutoring Hours
Monday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location
Sessions take place at the student’s home or another mutually agreed-upon public setting (such as a library). To ensure a comfortable and professional environment, sessions should occur in open or common areas — such as a dining room, living room, or study space — with doors or windows kept open.
Service Area
I generally serve families within a 20-minute bus ride of St. Brendan’s Parish School. For locations beyond that range, I kindly ask that Uber/Lyft fare to and from the session be covered.
